This may sound clichรฉ, but it’s true: sleep is so important.

Having a good night’s sleep can improve overall well-being by enhancing mood and increasing the body’s ability to promote healing.

What I like to do to improve my sleep is the following:

Turn the Electronics Off: Seriously, as many electronics as possible, because when any are on (e.g., the television), my conscious mind wants to stay awake. In my experience, turning off any unnecessary external stimulation helps the body relax and makes falling asleep easier.

Have a Bottle of Water by my Bedside: Of course, it is to hydrate as needed through the night. I recommend keeping one as well in case you wake up through the night and are a bit parched.

Visualize: If I find it difficult to sleep, I attempt to calm my mind and think of something peaceful. Visualization is a keen form of meditation; however, for me, it is a little different because the goal is to fall asleep.

As tomorrow is February and as the months keep rolling, I hope you all get enough restful sleep.

If you have any other useful ways to help drift into a restful sleep, let me know.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown prmontserrat took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
